The Association of Health Maintenance Organizations of the Philippines, Inc. (AHMOPI) will hold its 23rd Annual Convention on November 15, 2013 at The Medical City. Keynote Speaker is Dr. Alfredo R. A. Bengzon, President & Chief Executive Officer of The Medical City. Plenary Speakers include Philhealth President & CEO, Atty. Alexander A. Padilla; the Chief Engagement Officer of The Human Edge, Inc., Mr. Raul L. Imperial; the Chairman of iThink SPAC and Mentor and Dean of Entrepreneurship Circle, Bo Sanchez's Truly Rich Club, Dean Francisco "Pax" E. Lapid; the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health, Dr. Ma. Luz S. Casimiro-Querubín; the Managing Director of Towers Watson Philippines, Mr. James G. Matti; and the President, Training Master and Senior Consultant of Mansmith and Fielders, Inc., Ms. Chiqui Escareal-Go.

AHMOPI Chairman Ernesto B. Rufino, Jr. enthuses that “with the perennial quest for the benefits of youth and vitality, our convention theme, Responding to the Times ought to remind us that AHMOPI’s commitment to serve must remain ever new, must never be allowed to be a mere slogan but rather to be a continuing pursuit of excellence in delivering quality health care to our publics.” This view is shared by AHMOPI President Mario M. Silos who believes that providing quality healthcare par excellence to each and every client we serve is the common thread that binds the industry together. He, too, is cognizant of the fact that “public expectations run high, reason why it is incumbent upon AHMOPI members to raise the bar and rise with the tide in health delivery systems”, he said.

AHMOPI Executive Director and Over-all Convention Chair Carlos D. Da Silva is glad that the health industry is finally coming of age, with the private and public sectors focusing more keenly on making healthcare available and affordable to everyone at all levels of our society. He believes that with an improving economy, the country seems poised for better gains that hopefully would be felt especially at the grassroots level. “Health Maintenance Organizations are glad to respond to the times and help achieve better health profiles for every Filipino”, he said. Da Silva encourages not only those involved in health delivery systems to attend this year’s 23rd AHMOPI Convention. Interested parties may call the AHMOPI at Tel. Nos. 0915-760-3457 for early registration.
